This Canta swivel armchair is fixed on a steel base and was designed by Toshiyuki Kita for Cassina in 2000. This chair is composed of a backrest with armrests, one of these having variable shape and can be used as headrest (canta). It is made from a steel frame with padding in CFC-free polyurethane foam and polyester wadding and a removable fabric cover. This design is also seen in the MOMA New York and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris. The chair is also part of the Cassina ´Contemporary´ collection.
